Isometric Style Configuration - Dimensioning Miscellaneous

The configurations in this option (shown below) define the settings for dimensioning.
SettingDescription
Support Dimensioning Support level dimensioning is used for both supports and dimensioned annotations.
  • Hide Support Dimensions — Do not show support level dimensions.
  • Skip Shop Support Dimensions — Do not break support dimensioning at supports marked as shop.
  • Skip Field Support Dimensions — Do not break support dimensioning at supports marked as field.
  • Place Support Dimensions Inverted — Place the support dimension opposite to component/overall dimensioning.
Reference Dimensions Reference dimensions reference to an existing column intersection. The column intersection may be specified in the modeling system or can be determined from the external grid definition.
  • Show Reference Dimensions — Show reference dimensions in the isometric. If not show there still will be an annotation element holding the data.
  • Automatic — When the modeling system does not provide a reference dimension and this option is checked, a reference dimension will be added automatically. An intersection point will be determined (elbow, tee) and the nearest column intersection will be determined from the external grid definition.
  • Display As Label — Normally reference dimension is shown graphically. Check this option to display it as a label.
  • Level Name for Reference Dimensions — Determines the level used for reference dimensions. A Reference Dimensions level is defined by default, but this can be modified.
Suppress Dimensions The options here are conditions which determine whether or not to suppress branch dimensions.
  • Hide Branch Dimensions — Suppress dimensions on branches insofar certain conditions are met wrt to diameter and number of components.
  • Use Diameter Threshold — Do not suppress branch dimensions when the nominal diameter of the branch is above the specified value. The value can be specified in decimal inches or millimeters. The conversion factor used is 25.
  • Use Component Count Threshold — Do not suppress branch dimensions when the amount of components in the branch is above the specified value.
Dimension Existing Pipework
  • Dimension Existing Pipework — Check this to dimension pipe work marked as existing .
Use Dual Dimensions Will display the dimension in both MM and Inch value.
Show Allowance Will include the weld allowance on the dimension.
Format Defines the format which the weld allowance will be displayed.
When finished making any changes in the fields, click Save to apply the changes.
The Undo button will undo any changes made.
Note: The Save and Undo buttons only enable when changes are made.
